I met and hired Elizabeth when I was pregnant with my second baby. Upon our first meeting, I immediately got the sense that she was a caring, smart and very competent person and trainer. Throughout my pregnancy, she diligently researched, checked in, and curated a program tailored to my specific needs (sciatica, gestational diabetes, hernia!), all the while helping me perfect my form and build confidence. Five months postpartum, I am still working with Elizabeth, and will continue to do so. She has helped me to learn to love exercise, and focus on strength. She never fails to check in on me, and encourage my progress. In a city and industry where people can be fake and disingenuous, Elizabeth is a gem-no pretense, just pure heart and hard work. I look forward to seeing her every week!

I signed up for personal training hoping to lose weight, and I set myself the goal of completing my first Spartan Race. That would have been enough, but with Elizabeth I got vastly more. I learned how to exercise safely, in a focused way. She sent me emails about specific techniques and homework to meet the challenges I would face. I learned simple exercises I could do anytime, from simple strength and balance motions to a full stretch. 

In less than 3 months I was ready. On the day of the race I breezed through obstacles to finish strong.

I’ve participated in more events since; and it’s so nice to be able to breeze up the subway stairs (you know what I mean).

Elizabeth is one of the most skilled personal trainers I have had the pleasure to work with. Her experience and training in physiology make the workouts highly efficient and super safe. Elizabeth is an amazing trainer and I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her. I’d worked with a few trainers before to help with my form and introduce new exercises, and I went in to my first session with Elizabeth hoping to find more of the same.  While she was great with demonstrating the proper form, suggesting adjustments when needed, and introducing me to new exercises, it was everything else that she brought to the table that really separated her from her peers. Her great attitude and the care she has for her clients were readily apparent from an early point and just so encouraging.  She designed workouts that targeted the areas in which I wanted to improve while also devoting attention to injury prevention, which was invaluable to staying healthy.  Elizabeth used her advanced physiological training to develop a plan to help me heal a couple nagging injuries while still progressing in other areas.

I have a difficult time summarizing all of the qualities that make Elizabeth a superlative trainer, and instead, I strongly encourage you to work with her for a session.  After even a session or two with her, it’ll be clear that this review and others undersold her.  I went to her specifically to focus on strength training to improve my triathlon time, and I shaved over 10% off my total time. Thank you, Elizabeth, for everything!!

When I first came to Elizabeth my head was not in a good space. I was unhappy with the way I looked and how I felt. I started out with a negative attitude. Despite that, Elizabeth won me over with her attitude and her willingness to get to know and understand me. She was able to push me hard because she took the time to understand my personality quirks. It's been years since I’ve worked out, my energy levels were low and I wanted to tone up those “hard to tone” areas…

I wasn’t sure how to begin working out again. I was actually nervous and intimidated to get back into the gym. But, thankfully, I had Elizabeth to help me get back on track. 

During our first session, she took the time to listen and ask me questions about my fitness goals. She clearly explained what each exercise was for and how it would benefit me, and incorporated specific exercises and stretches to help strengthen an old shoulder injury I had. Her workouts are challenging but ALWAYS fun, and she's there motivating me along the way!
